Threadwork Primitives Inspired by schoolgirl and early dutch samplers,
Nan loves to cross stitch early work stitcheries,
with a passion for pinkeeps,
needlebooks, and ditty bags.
The finished items look as though they're antique
and were made in the 1800's.
She uses reproduction fabric and fills her pinkeeps
with sawdust for that authentic look and feel.
This Amish Alphabet Sampler Pinkeep
includes a heart motif from
an early Amish sampler.
This pinkeep is stitched on
32-count antique cream linen,
using variegated Caron
wildflower floss called Fiesta.
~ 7" wide by 3-3/4" high ~
The backing is an 1800's reproduction fabric of Sea Glass Blue with Drab Brown and Red in it,
providing a beautiful complimentary contrast
to the colors in the sampler.

This Wreath Pinkeep is an Old Dutch design.

Seaglass Blue, Dark & Light Sage Green
and Gray Brown on Antiqued Cream Linen.
It is backed with the softest overdyed
Blue Green and Olive Plaid Wool.
