Recently, I happened to stumble upon a new site called
A Fine Farmhouse.
Once again, I found the work from an artist
I consider the real deal, when it comes to primitives.
Located in Centertown KentuckyYou may recognize Dru A. McCarty from
Cinnamon Creek Cabin,
featured here back in December 2007.
I was delighted to see she now has a blog,
and received her permission to announce it!

She writes that she has been sewing, stuffing,
stitching, painting, and grubbing like a mad woman!
She shares her thoughts and photos of her past creations.
I get the feeling she doesn't realize how
genuinely talented she is!
That is what I mean by the "real deal".
She is such a natural at what she does,
and she instills so much inspiration in me.
I could fill my entire home with her creations.

Congratulations are in order,
for winning the
One Year Anniversary Giveaway
from Doreen Frost of
Vermont Harvest Folk Art
(another one of my most favorite talented artists)
She has won a very sweet little sleepy blackened
beeswax mouse resting atop a reproduction Civil War
fabric covered mache box filled with Sweet Annie Seeds.
American Folk Art from the hands of Dru A. McCarty
Thank you for visiting the Ditty Bag~
